Life back in Sweden - Instagram Edition

What have I been up to lately? Because it seems like I've taken a small break from the blog? Fear not! I've just been adapting to life back in Sweden.

Three Lovely London Parks (That are not Hyde Park)

Before moving to London, I pictured myself with an iced latte and a good book, sitting on a bench or under a tree in Hyde Park. I told myself it'd be the perfect place for a day off, taking a break from the city, and so on. Even though I spent my first months living in Chelsea, that vision of me in the park never happened. I've spent numerous afternoons with friends powerwalking from my apartment in South West London to Hyde park, but when it comes to "taking a break from the city", Hyde Park wasn't always ideal.

My July Playlist

Is it just me, or do you also change your Spotify lists completely according to the seasons? Pretty much all year around my Spotify consists of moody, artistic, instrumental piece and eclectic songs. But now, when summer has (finally) arrived, those colourful and happy songs tend to sneak into my playlists.

My Ultimate Summer Essentials

Finally it feels like summer has arrived in Sweden. Since I got home, almost two months ago, the weather has been windy and not at all that warm. These past few days though, the weather has changed, and I can finally say that summer is here. With the warm and sunny weather comes the summery feelings, and I find myself reaching for some of my old summer favourites.

My Fitness Journey // How I Stay Motivated

Working out in one way or another has always been part of my lifestyle more or less. I've done everything from horse riding and pilates to boxing, running and lifting weights. But even though I enjoy it, there are days (or even weeks) when getting out of bed and go working out feels like the biggest challenge in life. For the past few months I've been lucky, and going to the gym has been what makes me go up every morning, but that's not what it's always been like.

4 Series to Binge Watch this Summer

I'd say I'm a professional when it comes to watching series. Once I start I can't seem to stop watching - instead, I tend to finish a season per week. The weather in Sweden hasn't been the best since I moved back home, and it looks like it's gonna stay this way. So watching series, drink tea and eat chocolate like it's winter all over again seems like my go-to summer plan.

My Future Home - Pinterest Edition

As the interior obsessive I am, I tend to spend a lot of time browsing through the "home decor" and "architecture" jungles on Pinterest. There is so much to discover, and I feel like I'm in need of an apartment or two to live out my dreams. Of course, that's not possible for a poor, recently-graduated-living-at-home like me. So therefor I stock up on inspirational pictures in my "Future Home" collection on Pinterest.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser Review

Since I last blogged about my winter skincare essentials, I've updated my skincare routine quite a lot. I still sometimes use the Makeup Forever Gentle Cleansing Milk in the mornings, but I've added another moisturiser to my collection.

What I've been up to lately - Instagram Edition

Even though I stopped blogging for a while, my Instagram account will always be up to date with what I'm doing. I'd say I'm a bit of an Instagram addict; you know, the typical "I have to take a picture before we eat" and "can you take a picture of me posing casually in front of this pink house" type of person. I know I'm definitely not the only one obsessing over a perfect feed, cautiously curated pictures and the right amount of contrast and saturation. Banana Chocolate Oatmeal

Oatmeal has been my go-to breakfast for so so long now. It's the perfect way to start off the day, whether school, work, going to the gym or just staying in bed is on the schedule. It fills me up and makes me stay on track until lunchtime. I've written about two of my favourite oatmeal combinations before, Berry Oatmeal and Apple Oatmeal. My current favourite, which I thought I'd share with you today, is a chocolate oatmeal with banana. How delicious?!

A day in Covent Garden

During my time at UNI, I didn't get as much time as I wanted to explore London. However, as I've now graduated and haven't got a job, I've got all the time in the world. A few days ago I brought my camera and some candy (you always need candy, right?) with me to explore beautiful Covent Garden.

Back to blogging?!

Hi, how are you? It wasn’t exactly yesterday I last set my foot in here.
Since last time we saw each other I have graduated London College of Fashion and I am now contemplating whether to stay in London or go home.

Almond and Date Energy Balls

A few days ago I decided to make these delicious energy balls. I love to snack on something when I work or study, and since I'm quite tall as well I often find myself in situations when I need to eat something fast so that I don't faint (I'm sure most of you tall people recognise this situation). When it happens it's very easy to just run into a shop and grab the closest chocolate bar. But in an attempt to save some money and be a bit healthier I decided to make my own, homemade emergency food; these amazing energy balls made from dates and almonds.

Breakfast and Meal Planning

2017 is here, and with it comes the first blogpost of the year. A bit behind, I now, but I've been busy with work. I can finally say that I'm officially on break now, even though it's just for a week. I'm trying to enjoy this week to the full, and this morning I sat down to make some preparations for what to eat this week. This christmas I was lucky to be given the amazing cookbook by Niomi Smart, "Eat Smart", and this week is going to consist mostly of recipes I've found in it. o excited!

For breakfast today though I decided to go with something of my own creations. Some left over berries in the freezer from yesterday's dessert made a perfect berry oatmeal breakfast today. It's the easiest breakfast to make, and so delicious! I just mixed 1,5 dl of oats with water and berries and put it on the stove for about five minutes. I topped it off with some more berries and almonds. Yum!
